Long part of the swimming beach for the Amfora Hotel just outside the harbor area of Hvar, Amfora Beach is a beach club and lounge concept that mixes party-minded hotel guests with a younger-cut of bikini-clad singles. The space is located just beyond the hotel's main swimming beach, past a concrete embankment among a pine forest now irrupting with all-white tended pavilions that house the main bar and lounge spaces. A series of loungers line a terraced tanning deck with swimming area directly opposite the posher Banj des Bains �" both of which are owned by the local hotel monopoly Suncani-Hvar.
Tips
Don’t expect premium champagne and sushi. This youth-minded club is more about freshly squeezed cocktails, pizzas, burgers and showing-off in the sun.
Last Word
Some days, especially mid-week, the club feels like just an outlet of the adjacent hotel. But during prime summer weekends look for promoted events and guests DJs in July and August.
